Designed for discerning and demanding professional boom operators and location sound recordists, the Ambient Recording QP5100-CCMB QuickPole Series 5 carbon fiber 5-section boompole combines the ultralightweight body of Ambient’s QXS poles and the stability of their QP series booms. The QP5100-CCMB features an internal, coiled cable and a modular straight-bottom outlet with a balanced, 3-pin XLR mono connector. The boompole extends from 3.4 to 13.2′.

The QP5100-CCMB features a tube made from a custom carbon fiber compound with UHM fiber layering and anti-twist mechanisms that use serrations instead of retention pins, yielding impressive sturdiness and effortless maintenance. Design enhancements allow the QP5100-CCMB to lock and unlock with a mere quarter turn and to facilely and quickly extend and collapse.
